My other yacht is a superyacht.

Stephen read in the news in February that something very special had just sailed up the Hudson River and was docked at Pier 90 - the world's largest yacht.  536 feet long.  The "Eclipse" is owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, and the cost is estimated to be $1.12 billion.  BILLION.

It has two helicopter pads (when one just simply won't do), 24 guest cabins, two swimming pools, several hot tubs, and a disco hall.  Even Russian billionaires like to get down.

Approximately 70 crew members are needed to operate the yacht.  It is equipped with a German-built missile defense system.  The windows are bullet proof.

Oh, and this is just one of his fleet of five yachts.

On Sunday we decided to make the trip up to 50th Street and walk over to Pier 90 to see the thing in person:

Apparently this is a very rare sighting (if you're not another billionaire who parks his yacht next to this one in, say, the French Riviera).  But the rumor mill says that Mr. Abramovich's girlfriend is 8 months pregnant and will give birth in NYC.

We saw another pretty fantastic boat last year, the super sailing yacht, "Zefira".  It's only worth about $50 million so it didn't cause quite the stir, but I thought it was pretty...
