We just got back from a walk in the park where we saw these things:
Leaves! Autumn leaves! On the ground! It's only August 20, and Fall is already coming? This makes me very nervous about my first full winter here. I fear my Texan blood is not hearty enough to deal with it.
I would roll around in them and have a grand 'ole time if I saw those here! Still in the 100's and no break insight. But, come winter I'm sure living here will seem ideal.
